NØWN is a curated clothing marketplace operating at nown.uk. We connect independent clothing brands with customers who care about what they wear.

For the purposes of UK data protection law, NØWN (operated by Dhruv Pattni, trading as NØWN) is the data controller responsible for your personal data.

3. Why We Collect It (Legal Basis)

Contract — to process orders, manage accounts, and facilitate transactions between buyers and sellers
Legitimate interest — to improve the platform, detect fraud, and communicate platform updates
Consent — to send marketing emails and newsletters (you can opt out at any time)
Legal obligation — to comply with financial and tax regulations

5. Who We Share Your Data With

We don't sell your data. We only share it with third parties where necessary to operate the platform:

Stripe — payment processing and seller payouts (stripe.com/privacy)
Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure (supabase.com/privacy)
Vercel — website hosting (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
Resend — transactional email delivery (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy)

All third-party providers are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with UK data protection law.

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Account data — kept for as long as your account is active, plus 2 years after closure
Order data — kept for 7 years for legal and tax compliance
Marketing data — kept until you unsubscribe or request deletion
Application data — kept for 12 months after a decision is made
